AlpiWatt is a software
that allows the user to simulate the behaviour of an independent energy
system.
It is conceived for the designing of integrated energy systems in mountainous
regions, but it can be used for other situations too (i.e. simulation
of photovoltaic plants in tropical areas, as well as calculation of
an integrated energy system elsewhere) thanks to its flexibility.
The program works under every Windows version, from 3.11 to XP; the
necessary minimal configuration to use the program is a 386 processor
with 16 Mb RAM and a 600 X 800 Pixels screen; in any case 32 Mb of memory
for a fast and flowing operation is recommended.
AlpiWatt has been written in four languages: Italian, English, French
and German.
AlpiWatt is composed by different tables, easily accessible from the
main Menu.
The dimensioning of a system with AlpiWatt is simple and precise. It
is done by the user, that inputs all the parameters involved in the
technical and economic evaluation of the plant.
The software AlpiWatt has been developed by D.E.I.A.F.A. Sezione di
Meccanica Agraria of Università degli Studi di Torino, Facoltà
di Agraria, by Prof. Remigio Berruto and Dr. Stefano Bechis. The evolution
towards the 2.0 version has been made by Dr. Matteo Robutti with the
collaboration of Dr. Maria Pia Giuffrida.
